Why buy a whole hog?

This is the kind of pork you can’t find in a grocery store … richly marbled, deeply flavorful, and raised with room to move, forage, and express natural behavior.

Our pigs are raised in a woodland and pasture-based environment with access to grasses, roots, orchard drops, nuts, and fresh air … zero confinement, zero drugs, soy-free supplemental grain. The result is pork with real color, real texture, and real flavor.

Buying a whole hog gives you the broadest range of cuts, the best value per pound, and the deepest connection to how your food was raised. It is the right choice for customers who cook regularly, want a full freezer, or prefer to buy once and eat well for months.

Freezer space required is substantial. As a rule of thumb, 35 to 40 pounds of packaged meat takes about 1 cubic foot of freezer space … so plan accordingly before reserving a whole hog.
